Rainbow Six Siege is getting crossplay, tolerant of. Ubisoft went into particular about the game's upcoming crossplay accompaniment during its Ubisoft Forward 2021 stream. Curiously, while PS4/5 and Xbox players will be competent to play with apiece other, PC players will be excluded from that pool. PC players will be able to pair with Amazon Luna and Google Stadia players, merely I can't imagine the defile versions represent many players.

Ubi didn't enter why this will be the case, only it almost for sure has to do with the skill separate between PC and comfort players. Balancing mouse and keyboard versus controllers has been a consistent challenge as more competitive games have got introduced crossplay, but an ultra-precise FPS the like Siege gets peculiarly problematic when you starting signal mixing input methods.

Aiming with a controller in Siege is elbow room harder than with a mouse. It's not a fair fight, and that's non a fact that's changing anytime soon. I don't see how Ubi could've worked roughly this problem in a way that keeps Siege fair and competitive, so it makes sense to sidestep the issue completely aside keeping the communities separate.

The decisiveness is a stark contrast to how Blizzard is handling Overwatch crossplay. Microcomputer and console players will be able to match together in groups, but competition leave remain bolted to your platform.
